Highlights of the Mega Successful IWC 2018

International Wellness Conclave presented by Wellness Matters, was held at the Radisson Blu Plaza New Delhi, on 25th and 26th September. The two day Wellness Conclave focused on the theme “Excellence in Wellness” and promoting India as the wellness destination. IWC 2018 saw in attendance the finest wellness visionaries from across the globe and industry leaders from India. Also seen were medical professionals, doctors and other industry professionals from the spa, beauty and fitness industry along with leading wellness industry marketers and patrons.

The success of the conclave was evident from the attendance of more than 120 registered delegates on day one and 160 delegates on the day two of the conclave, along with over 280 ultra-HNIs celebrating the success of this mega-event at the gala dinner party.

Day-1

The International Wellness Conclave 2018 was inaugurated by Shri K.J. Alphons, Minister of State for Tourism, Government of India. In his key-note address he highlighted how India is the hub for wellness tourism. Shri Anil Khaitan, President, PHD Chambers gave a special address on the need for green initiatives’. Presentations on ‘Wellness as an Integral Part of Tourism’, ‘Investment Opportunities in Wellness Sector’ and a review of the ‘Wellness Industry in the Asia-Pacific Region’ were the highlights of the day. The afternoon session on ‘Spa Management & Economics’ focused on ‘Day-to-day Operations Management’ and ‘Operations Changing to a More Wellness Environment’. The day concluded with a panel discussion on ‘Capitalizing the Wellness Boom’ which was both engaging and informative.  

 

Evening

Celebrating the success of the International Wellness Conclave (IWC) presented by Wellness Matters, an extravagant gala dinner was hosted for the partners, industry patrons, and ultra-HNI guest-list, at the Radisson Blu Plaza New Delhi. The glamorous gathering witnessed a stunning fashion show by designer and couturier Charu Parashar who curated a special spa and resort wear line especially for the International Wellness Conclave 2018.

 

Day-2

The second day of IWC 2018 began with a session on ‘Importance of Indian Therapies in a Global Setting’. This was followed by a talk on Yoga and a short Meditation Therapy. A dedicated session on ‘Nutrition as the Core of Wellness’ had informative presentations and a special talk on ‘Ayurveda: Achieving Ultimate Wellness’. The highlight of the day was the session on ‘Branding & Marketing’ with presentations on ‘How to Market your Spas to the Media’ and ‘Digital 101 for the Wellness Industry’. An engaging discussion on ‘Brand Building’ and “Overcoming the Realities of Our Industry” were much applauded by those present. The day concluded with a presentation from APSWC on an “Overview of the Country Synopsis”.
